Here I am with Sunny Staffers Paul Moore and Rodd Wayne during a break at the Michael Martin Murphey Cowboy Christmas Concert two days before Santa came to see us. What a wonderful show! If he comes back next year, DON'T MISS IT. It's perfect entertainment for the whole family and proceeds help out a number of local charities. And, yes, he did sing "Wildfire." Awesome!

Santa's checking his list and getting ready to "take to the air" on Christmas Eve. There may be a few clouds in our area, so Rudolph will probably have his red nose at full power. To check Santa's progress and gage those bedtimes, click on the link below and don't forget to leave out cookies for the "Jolly Old Elf" and some popcorn for his reindeer. Merry Christmas!Tuesday, December 19, 2006
New Christmas Classic
Parents, if your children haven't seen "Prancer" yet, you simply must buy the DVD for you home collection. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but most of all...........YOU'LL BELIEVE. My daughter and I enjoy this one together every year at Christmas. It's a tradition worth starting in your home, too (hint, hint). The child actors are wonderful and you'll really enjoy Sam Elliot and Cloris Leachman.
Christmas Classics
One of the most wonderful things about Christmas is the memories created with families and friends. Some of my best ones involve huddling around the old TV set back in the 60's and enjoying classics like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" on NBC with my brother and sisters. Wonder what ever happened to Yukon Cornelius?
So Many Sweets........So Little Time!
Talk about too much of a good thing! Here's a textbook example of why the Sunny airstaff should NEVER complain about our weight. As a brand new (just now created) saying goes, "Eat now, ask questions later!" Paul Moore, me and Rodd Wayne are enjoying a little Christmas cheer in the control room (hope chief engineer Sans Hawkins isn't looking at this). Thanks so much to Lee and Dave Peters for the goodies and the nice card they included with it. Merry Christmas and may Santa leave you NO fruitcakes this year!

Sam Satterwhite In-Studio
Here I am with Sam Satterwhite of Satterwhite Log Homes in Longview. He was in studio Friday, December 15th, to talk about the Michael Martin Murphey "Cowboy Christmas" show coming up Saturday, the 23rd. Michael's show is becoming a Christmas family tradition in our home. It's the best! Proceeds benefit several charities in East Texas and you won't find better entertainment for both adults and kids. And yes, Michael will sing "Wildfire" as part of the evening. (Now, if I can just get Sam to build me a nice little log cabin in the Rockies!) Hey, click on the provided link for tickets and more information on the show. http://www.texaschristmas.org/

Cruisin' With Friends
One of the wonderful things about the Sunny Sailaway Cruise was hangin' out with some of our listeners. Here's Dana, her husband Pete, and Dallas. We enjoyed some great dining and conversation. They were amused at finally being able to put "faces with voices." Once we arrived in Cozumel, though, Dana and Pete were off the ship in a hurry to enjoy some Scuba diving. They asked Lana and I to go; however, I forgot to bring my shark and sting ray repellant, so I declined.
