Lana and I had the chance to attend "Dinner With a Champion" in Longview on Saturday night, March 24th. The event was a benefit for the Sabine Valley Center Foundation and Steve Ford was the featured speaker. Steve is the son of late president Gerald Ford and a working Hollywood actor. However, after a challenge from his nieces, he has been putting a lot of his acting projects on hold so that he can speak to young people all over the nation about making good choices and investing in a sound future. Steve told a great story about how his dad found out that he was President Nixon's choice for VP when Spiro Agnew stepped down. Nixon called from the White House on the Ford's private home line, which had only one extention. When President Ford answered the phone he told Nixon that he'd have to call back on the family line so that Betty could listen in. LOL! What a great story!

"300"Workout
Here's the website link I promised you Monday morning for that workout the "musled-up" actors in the film "300" used. Pretty rugged. Give it a look. Hey, who knows? If producers do a prequel, they may be looking for a stunt double for King Leonidus. Will I be looking for a part in the film, you ask? Nope. I'm far too stunning a mortal specimen for those Spartan pansies. Actually, I'll be busy getting in shape for "America's Most Wanted." Go to this link for more: www.joshsgarage.typepad.com.

3rd Man in History Walks on Water?
First, there was Jesus........next it was Simon Peter........and now, THIS GUY! Can you blame him? Hey, if that were me, I'd already be out of the picture frame. My parents sent me this in an e-mail and it was too good to pass up! This guy is kickin' up some surf! Click on the picture and check out the reactions from his friends on the top left. They're lovin' it! By the way, this shot is very similar to the response you'll see from me whenever I see a SNAKE. Eeeeeeahhhhhhh!!!!

Hey, if you're looking for some great summer camp choices for the kiddos, you're in luck! You may have heard me talking about this on the Sunny Morning Show on Wednesday. I found an OUTSTANDING website that will allow you to pick the perfect camp for your child......whatever type you're looking for........sports, academic, adventure, special interest, weight loss, religious and MORE. You can also select day or overnight camps. It's kind of like one-stop shopping. The website is called kidscamps.com. Just click on the picture to navigate your way there and "power up" some summer fun for your little guys!

Captain Hook and Me
My Morning "Kissy-Face!"
Ever heard the saying "rode hard and hung up wet?" Well, I'm the poster boy....especially now that I'm doing the Sunny Morning Show. Having moved there from middays recently, I'm still working on my sleep schedule and am definitely NOT "a sight for sore eyes" on my commute.......in fact, Spielberg just called and cancelled my screen test. Actually, this caricature is much more complimentary than a real photo. And besides, I usually don't have my make-up on that early! Hey....being totally honest......I'M HAVING A BLAST! Thanks for all you nice calls and please pray for me........pray hard.

Valentine's Love Songs!
It's gonna be a real Love-Fest on Cupid's Day on the Sunny Sidewalk Cafe! All love songs during your lunch hour. How about a dedication? It'll be a little touch of Delilah during your workday. Here's how you can help me out: The NY Daily News recently compiled a list of the 100 most romantic songs of all time. Click on the big red heart above and pick out a couple of favorites. Cut and paste your choices into an e-mail and send them to revans@etradiogroup.com. Now, if you have another song you'd like to suggest, that's okay, too. The top vote-getters will be played on Valentine's Day. Good luck. It's a tough list!Friday, January 26, 2007
Kids at Play!
Yep! The "kids" were here and Sunny 106.5 was "playing" the hits! We hosted a bus load of wonderful 5th graders from Hawkins Elementary on Friday, January 26, who were headed to Caldwell Auditorium for "Peter and the Wolf." What a courteous and well-behaved group they were! Both parents and teachers are to be commended. We had them cut us a few liners and jingles while in-studio (be listening for them). Ya'll come back now, ya' hear??!!
Genius at Work
For those of you who have been to the Cracker Barrel, you've probably tried your luck with one of these "golf tee puzzles." Once you finish, you're given a rating. I usually earn the one for "Aspiring Moron." Occasionally, though, "every squirrel finds a nut" and by some unexplained miracle, this time I got it down to ONE! How does it feel to be in the presence of greatness? Doesn't it give you shivers being this close to me? Hey........I heard that!!
